The Climb

"What drives me is that you can always be better. I've always had the viewpoint of doing things to the best of my ability and being excellent at whatever I'm doing."

Campbell grew up in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, in a family where nearly everyone plays. His uncle competed professionally for a time, and some of Campbell's earliest memories are summer days at the course with his dad and grandpa.

He played Division I college golf at DePaul University (2018–2020, Business), transferred to East Tennessee State (2020–2022, Sports Management), and finished at Northern Illinois (2022–2023), earning a Global MBA while competing for the Huskies.

After earning conditional status on the European Challenge Tour in 2024, Campbell turned pro and moved to Chicago to compete full time on the mini-tour circuit. In 2026 he finished T-6 at U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying — two shots from advancing to the U.S. Open, and beating every PGA Tour player in the field but one. He calls it the clearest validation yet that his game is ready for the next level.

"I want to be one of the best players in the world — a top-50 player. That's the goal, and everything I do is pointed at it."

The Road Ahead

"The next stepping stones are full status on the DP World Tour or the Korn Ferry Tour, and from there the PGA Tour. A close call at Q-School last year confirmed my game belongs at that level."

The 2026 season is built around multi-day mini-tour events and Korn Ferry / PGA Tour Monday qualifiers — the fastest path to earning status by year's end. Campbell lives full time in Chicago and practices out of Flossmoor Golf Club and The Warehouse GC, with West Palm Beach trips through the colder months.

The fall is pointed at DP World and Korn Ferry Q-Schools. He works with coaches Larry Ward and Tyrus York in Lexington, Kevin Kirk in Florida, trainer Phil Pedi at The Warehouse, and physio Scott Fonda.

"Golf has opened doors and created experiences I wouldn't have had otherwise. Paying that forward to the next generation of players is part of the job."
